Sometimes a single post is not enough to explain a subject. That's when the magazine attacks a single focal point with its entire team. This is called a Cover Story and it's the "star" of that issue (or that section).

It is a comprehensive content package that is carried to the cover of an issue or covers a specific section, handling a theme with a blend of different authors and different points of view.

• Gaining Depth: To examine an issue not superficially but with all its dimensions (economic, sociological, technological, etc.).
• Making the Magazine Collectible: A strong cover story ensures the magazine is kept for years.

Usually an editor becomes the "file manager." Different branches of the subject are assigned to different authors. While one writes its history, the other its future, while one does an interview, the other presents an analysis.
